Sugar Free Strawberry Compote


Most syrups are full of sugar and undesirable ingredients. This 3 ingredient compote is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and liven up the Paleo Almond Flour Pancake recipe in my cookbook, Wandering Palate.

16 oz frozen strawberries
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons grass fed butter


1. Place the strawberries, lemon juice and butter in a saucepan set over low heat.

2. Stir frequently until the strawberries have broken down and the sauce has thickened.

3. Serve over the Almond Flour Pancakes from Wandering Palate.
