11th Annual Biohacking Conference Recap
/It was so great to be back at Dave Asprey’s 2025 Biohacking Conference. This was my sixth time attending and, as always, it did not disappoint.
This conference is truly one of my favorites. From the incredible speaker lineup to the never-ending flow of Danger Coffee and nourishing food, there’s nothing quite like it. The tech hall is a wellness playground, but what keeps me coming back year after year is the community. It’s a space to reconnect, share notes on the latest health breakthroughs, and feel genuinely inspired to keep leveling up.
Day 1: A Powerful Kickoff
There’s always a certain buzz on the first day, and this year opened with a strong pulse of innovation and expansion.
Keynote Speakers That Set the Tone
Dave Asprey, the visionary behind the conference, opened with major announcements including the launch of the Dave Asprey Experience, a new platform to help people curate their transformation journeys, and the acquisition of the Wonderland Conference, signaling a deeper integration between biohacking and consciousness work. His message focused on radical health ownership, staying curious, and continuing to push the boundaries of human performance.
Christian Drapeau, founder of StemRegen, gave an insightful keynote on the body’s regenerative power through endogenous stem cell release. He shared how certain botanical compounds like AFA algae can stimulate the release of stem cells from the bone marrow, supporting healing, recovery, and overall vitality.
Dr. Jerry Tennant delivered a powerful talk on how voltage and polarity govern our ability to heal. He emphasized that all cells need to operate at -20 to -25 millivolts and explained how flipped polarity can be an early marker of disease. His presentation on scalar energy devices and circuit testing brought an exciting perspective on the electrical nature of health and disease.
Vani Hari (The Food Babe) inspired the crowd with her journey from corporate America to food activism. She exposed the hidden additives in common foods, the difference in ingredient quality between countries, and her push for legislation to improve food safety. Her story was a reminder of the power of consumer advocacy and persistence.
Dr. Alberto Villoldo, a medical anthropologist and shamanic teacher, shared practices for brain regeneration and activating higher consciousness. He spoke on the science of fasting, the production of bliss molecules like serotonin and DMT, and how breathwork can rewire the brain to access clarity, resilience, and peace. His integration of science and spirituality brought depth and perspective to the day.
Day 2: Deep Dives, Brain Waves, and A Biohacker Rave
Day 2 started with what else: coffee. After fueling up with Danger Coffee, I headed to the main stage for another round of powerhouse keynotes that set the tone for a packed day of learning, experimenting, and expanding.
Keynotes and Consciousness
One of the most moving sessions was from Naveen Jain, founder of Viome. He shared how the human microbiome influences everything from mood and cravings to disease risk and even how we love. He emphasized that we’re more microbiome than human, and that our microbes often make decisions before we do. From early-stage pancreatic cancer detection to personalized supplements and toothpaste based on gene expression, the future of precision health is here and evolving fast.
Dr. Joe Dispenza closed out the keynote block with a deep dive into quantum healing and consciousness. His session was packed with people ready to expand their minds, and he delivered. He spoke about heart-brain coherence, how our emotions create our reality, and how elevated emotional states like gratitude can shift our physiology and brainwave patterns. It was a reminder of just how powerful our thoughts and intentions can be.
40 Years of Zen: My Second Taste
Later that morning, I had the opportunity to experience another session with 40 Years of Zen, the neurofeedback program designed to deliver the benefits of decades of meditation in just a few days. It was immersive and intense, using real-time brainwave feedback to create clarity and release old emotional patterns. For those not ready for the full immersive program, they also showcased Satoria, a new at-home meditation tool that brings similar brain training benefits into a daily routine using upgraded hardware and software.
Mold, Air, and Advocacy
In the afternoon, I sat down with the Air Doctor team for an interview to talk about something that hits close to home: indoor air quality and mold exposure. I shared my personal story with mold illness, how it triggered years of symptoms, and why clean air is one of the most overlooked but essential components of health. We talked about the importance of travel-friendly air purifiers, their mold detection campaign, and what’s coming next from the brand.
Afternoon in the Tech Hall
I also spent much of the afternoon exploring the tech hall and testing the latest gear. From recovery tools to brain optimization devices, there was no shortage of innovation to experience. I’ll be sharing a full breakdown of everything I tried and loved later in this post, so keep reading if you're curious about the newest tools in biohacking this year.
And Then, We Danced
Of course, no Biohacking Conference would be complete without the signature biohacker dance party. And this year’s was next level. Steve Aoki brought the energy, and let me tell you, everyone was dancing. After two days filled with mitochondria, mindfulness, and optimizing metabolic pathways, letting loose on the dance floor was exactly what we all needed.
Day 3: Breathing Deep, Soaking It In, and Saying Goodbye
Day 3 is always bittersweet. There's a feeling of wanting just one more day, but also being so full of information, experiences, and energy that you know it's time to go home and integrate it all. I packed in as much as I could on our final day.
Breath, Focus, and Longevity
I started the morning on the main stage with an amazing lineup of speakers.
Jason Sonners shared the latest on hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and how different pressure levels, like 1.3 and 2.0 ATA, impact the body in unique ways. He covered protocols for optimizing mitochondrial function, managing inflammation, and maximizing epigenetic effects through pressure variation, session frequency, and stacking with supplements like NAD, methylene blue, and MCTs.
James Nestor, author of Breath, delivered a powerful talk on how simple shifts in how we breathe can dramatically impact health. He emphasized the benefits of nasal breathing, the harm of chronic mouth breathing, and how something as basic as slow, conscious breathing can reduce stress, improve sleep, and enhance focus.
Longevity for Women: Kayla Barnes Breakout
I was also able to catch Kayla Barnes’ breakout session on longevity for women. She touched on everything from cycle-syncing your workouts to understanding the hallmarks of aging, bioidentical hormones, and detox strategies. She shared practical tips on mitochondrial support, sleep, peptides, and the importance of gut and oral health in female longevity. Her approach was thoughtful, actionable, and specifically tailored to women’s needs.
Final Hours in the Tech Hall
The afternoon was all about making the most of my last few hours in the tech hall. I tested a few final tools, had great conversations with brand reps, and squeezed in those last demos before it was time to pack up. The innovation on display this year was truly next level. See the section below for a full breakdown of everything I discovered and loved this year.
Taking It All Home
Before heading out, I took a moment to reflect on everything I had experienced over the past three days. From cutting-edge science and tech to inspiring conversations and deep personal insights, this conference is always a reminder that biohacking is about more than just health. It’s about how we live, grow, and connect.
Next year, the conference will be rebranded to Live Beyond 180, with a renewed focus on biohacking, longevity, and consciousness. It will return to Austin, and I already can’t wait to be back. I hope you’ll join me there. Tickets are on sale now, and if you book early, you can save a lot on your pass.
