Gut Healing Hot Cocoa

There is nothing better than warming up with a warm cup of hot cocoa in the winter, but what if I told you it could give you better skin and gut health at the same time? Even better right? I am in love and living off my gut healing hot cocoa this winter and loving the frothy healing that adding in Great Lakes Gelatin Collagen Powder gives it.

Ingredients

2 cups nut milk of choice 
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Honey or maple syrup to taste 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
2 scoops Great Lakes Gelatin Collagen Powder 


Directions

1. In a small pot over medium heat, add all ingredients except the collagen and stir with a whisk until combined. Bring to a simmer. 

2. Add in the collagen and continue to stir with the  whisk or remove the pot from the heat and let it cool slightly.  Transfer to a high speed blender and add collagen and mix for about 20 seconds until nice and frothy. 

3. Pour into 2 mugs and enjoy.
