Homemade Fresh Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce

This hearty pasta sauce is the ideal red sauce for your favorite pasta. It consists of fresh, tangy and sweet tomatoes, olive oil, herbs, and spices for something that will take any pasta noodle up a level. If you have tons of garden tomatoes or some in your kitchen just past their prime, this is the recipe to give them new life.

Cook Time: 30 to 40 minutes


Ingredients

2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil 
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano 
1 tablespoon garlic powder 
1 tablespoon onion powder


Directions

1. In a large skillet set over medium heat, add the tomatoes and olive oil; cook, while stirring occasionally, until cooked down, about 30 to 40 minutes.

2. Stir in the basil, oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder.

3. Serve over gluten-free pasta or grain-free Cappello’s pasta.
