Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 to 24 minutes

Ingredients

1 package pasture-raised bacon (optional) (Order grass-fed meat from Butcher Box (discount varies) or US Wellness Meats (15% off first 2 orders) with code TRAILTOHEALTH)
1 lb Brussel sprouts (use code TRAILTOHEALTH for 50% off your 1st box)
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt to taste
½ cup walnuts

Directions

1. If using bacon, cook in a skillet until crispy, about 8 to 10 minutes. Set aside on a paper towel to absorb the grease.

2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and halve. (Code TRAIL gets you 10% off Nakano Knives)

3. Heat a cast-iron pan over medium heat and add the coconut oil, garlic and onion powder.

4. Place the Brussels sprouts cut side down and cook for a few minutes. Season with salt to taste.

5. Check after 4-5 minutes to see if they are browning. Once browned, turn over and sauté on the other side as well.

6. Add in the walnuts and stir occasionally until fragrant and toasted.

7. Chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces and stir into the sprouts.
